These designs were made to make the RX-78-2 look more modern and realistic. There are also multiple ways to stow the Grandpa Gundams arsenal on him. The latch located on the lower back of the Gundam can be popped open to allow builders to stow the hyper bazooka or beam rifle on it. The shield can also be holstered on the backpack of the Gundam.
