The Bandai SDEX RX-78-2 Gundam model kit presents the iconic mobile suit from Mobile Suit Gundam with stylized SD proportions, enhanced articulation, and its classic Beam Rifle, Beam Saber, and Shield.

The RX-78-2 Gundam receives the SD Gundam EX-Standard treatment with compact proportions that preserve the recognizable design of the original Earth Federation mobile suit. The SDEX design uses more developed limb proportions than traditional SD kits to provide improved articulation and a wider range of dynamic poses while maintaining its distinctive super-deformed appearance.

The kit includes the RX-78-2 Gundam's signature Beam Rifle, Beam Saber, and Shield for recreating classic combat poses. Its equipment can also be used in combination with compatible HG-series kits for additional customization possibilities. Color-separated parts and included stickers provide the RX-78-2's familiar color scheme in a compact, straightforward snap-fit build.
